Responsible use of AI
MGRA may use AI to assist drafting, organisation, checking and development. Professional judgement, responsibility and approval remain with MGRA and the Chartered Surveyor. Technology supports the surveyor; it does not replace one. Where AI could materially affect surveying services, MGRA works with reference to the RICS professional standard Responsible use of artificial intelligence in surveying practice (1st edition, September 2025).
Does MGRA use AI?
Yes. AI may assist drafting, organisation, checking and development. It does not independently provide professional advice, and it does not replace inspection, evidence or judgement.
Who remains responsible?
MGRA and the Chartered Surveyor. Issued advice is reviewed and approved by the surveyor. Use of AI does not transfer that responsibility.
